Im running a Comp Engineering front plate, and mid plate. Both will need extensive work with the mid plate needing the most. Front plate comes un-trimmed so you will need cut, and fit it to the frame rails yourself.

Madman makes a nice plate setup that is as bolt in as can be for a front plate setup, cut to proper size to fit in the frame rails etc. I dont think anyone is putting out a mid plate that is simple to install - if youre planning to go frame rail to frame rail, all of them need a fair amount of work to clear headers, firewall, etc. Ive seen some people are using a mounting hoop of tubing that the plate bolts to and hangs down... do a search for midplate pics.

I just ordered both of your motor plates. On the rear plate, which way to you advice mounting it (top or side) for ease of engine removable and installation? The car will be for engine R&D and I'll be swapping out the engine many times... Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Either way is fine. I normally dont remove the midplate in a engine swap. I leave it in to hold the trans up.
