need help with car
i have a 2001 ram air. had need some help figuring whats up with it. at this point i have tsp 228r, mac mids, slp lm1, all supporting bolt on, 2800 stall, stock 3.23 rear gears, full bmr rear suspension, ce rear drag stocks set at 50/50. weld big and skinnies with a 275/50/15 bfg drag out back. the car is only runnig an 8.0 in the 1/8 at 87 mph. does this seem slow for what it has? and i am changing to edelbrock drag lts, 3 inch tds, ms3, 4000 stall and 4.10 gears, what should the car run in the 1/8 with all this stuff done? thank in advance

Based on the calc your running 12.40's had it went to the 1/4 which is not bad but given the mods, it should be well into the 11's. What I will say is that 60 foot is near stock so there are def things I see to improve.
But going to a Setup like a MS4 with do a few things, give upper rpm pull, but will reduce under the curve power. Given the type of racing the gearing and stall is much better. If the tire will hold it, you should be running low 7's. You may have to go to a M/T ET Drag radial compound but that should be the worst of it.
The other fact not mentioned was race weight. Changing that can change the whole attitude of the car.

i am planning on going to a m/t radial. would you stay with a 275/50 or go to a 275/60with the gears. car weights 3671 with me in it. you are right on the car ran 12.38 in the 1/4.
