Surest way to get my car into 11s
I have an 02 trans am. I don't drag it often, maybe once or twice a year, but I am dieing to get an 11. 11.9 would do the trick. I just threw a 404 ls2 in it from the ls1, and I really don't know where it right now. I had cam/spray on my ls1 and hit 12.1 @ 125s on street tires. I kinda want to do this the cheapest way possible without buying anything else. Since I did a 12.1 on street tires, i figure why not try to get the 11 on street tires/street trim, itd be a bit more impressive.
The track i go to (lapeer,MI) is notorious for having shitty e/ts.
My new setup:
404 ls2, torquer v3, ls1 heads, longtubes, ls6 intake, green tops, lid, exhaust, cutout, etc. (have 150 wet kit but havent used it on the new engine yet)
t-56, stock 3.42 rear, 275 gs-d3s
phb,lcas,bilstein shocks,eibach springs (3/4 lowered),1le bars,airbag,etc.
ran 12.7 @ 116 cam only, ran 12.1 @ 125 w/ 100 shot.
I think I should just run it n/a and see what happens and then hit it with a bit of spray if needed to guarantee 11s.
Do you think ill be able to hit 11s n/a w/ the 404 on street tires?
