Default what flexplate for a 6.0/th350 combo?

mabey ill have better luck in here as opposed to the auto trans section since its more drag specific....

i have a 6.0, th350 and a vig converter from my lt1 (standard sbc style). Do i need to buy a specific flexplate for a lsx and use the spacer for the TC or can i buy a standard sbc flexplate? Or will it not bolt up? I seen them for sale for lsx cars but dont know how compatible everything is for the different combos one person can have.

Ok, i dont know exactly, but i do know a little. As far your motor it would depend on the year. I guess some of the earlier 6.0's had a little longer crank. If you had one of these you could use a normal sbc tc. But if you have a later year, i believe after 2003, then it is the same length as ls1 ect.

I believe you need a converter set up for a ls1, so you dont have to use a spacer, and the Tci Flexplate part TCI399753.

I am not 100%, but i just got a ptc converter for a ls1, a th400, and that flexplate, and will be putting it all together soon.

Maybe give brian @ speed inc a call, or Dean @ drc.(who speed inc uses for th400's)

Good luck, Chris

As long as your 6.0 is 2001 or newer, just use a spacer/bolts/flexplate for a 6.0L and a 4L80E.

i am using the TCI flexplate with a standard th350 converter. it fit perfect and is a very stout piece. spend the money and get the TCI, well worth the peace of mind IMO.

for ***** i took a pic of the crank. I noticed that the threads start about a 1/2 back. Is this the years i dont need a spacer because the crank is so much thicker right there or are all lsx cranks like that?? I dont have a lsx to compare too...

Phil, im gonna buy a TCI flexplate. Iv seen a few break and im not gonna skimp out here, just need to know what one i need.

Looks like that spacer is already on the crank. I would run the TCI or FTI has a very nice billet aluminum one for almost the same price.

You can run either, but I bet the ls1 dipstick will fit in the car better.
