Default anybody pullin wheelies on 26 inch slicks?

i run 26X11.50X15 inch tall M/T ET street slicks with 4:10 gears in my strange 12 bolt. i also have a turbo 400 trans. anyway, i am curious if any of the F-body owners on this site are able to get some air under their tires with 26 inch tall slicks.

if so please post your sixty foot times, race weight and any pix of the deed if you got em

All the time!

Best NA 1.39 60 foot, check out the video in my sig and the photo in the sig is one my daughter took! Race weight is 3,370 +/-.

When I had the stock 91K engine in the car with only headers it would pull the front wheels about 2 inches with ET Streets but only put down low 1.50 60 foots and was 3,665 lbs. I hope this helps!

Right here!! Click Link for details and vid.

60' 1.737 due to the shocks not being able to handle the hit
Race Weight is HEAVY but to be honest, I have never gotten an honest #.

My best 60' on 26x10.50 ET STreets were 1.6x...switched to 26x10 ET Drags and pulled 1.4x.

Car and driver in race trim weighs 3350lbs.

My .02 if you have a TH400 tranny...go w/ MT Drag Radials. They'd hook better than an ET STreet from everything I've done and seen. DRs don't work as well for me as slicks w/ a manual tranny.

Glad you chimed in with a solid experience on ET STreets. I guess it depends on weight, driver, and specific setup.

Crap...you were doing that on stock shocks/struts ?
Congrats on a package you will LOVE! I sold my rear QA1 setup in a weak moment, kept the fronts, now running stock rear springs/shocks/bags and work good, but would be better w/ what you've just bought.

Sorry for the hijack, but it all does have a common theme!

Yea, thats cool. All the suspension I had was BMR adj TQ arm, and Rear LCA's w/ relocation Brackets, no SFC's (I had bought that already too).

I found aften swapping tires back on that the bump stops slamming on the rear. It showed clear marks of hitting so the car hit so hard and then bounced back and I couldn't muster any better then 1.7's I suspect we can eek a 1.61 given the weight and current power it makes which sould put me near 11's

so you could imagine my soiled drawers the first time I dumped it at 5k and mine squatted so hard the torque arm ripped off the tranny and the diff shot the torque arm mounting plate through the floorboard... Had to do some metal work this past winter to fix it and put all new carpet in. Thats when I went to airbags...

Air bags was a discussion we had but figured after the drag bar, if for some odd reason it was still off, then we would look at that. I have bent and rebent my TQ arm clam shell so may times that its all sloppy, sorta like a well aged hooker and I regularly lose clam shell bolts and the TQ arm hits the floor board.

I came very close to doing the same so i do not want to do any sheet metal repair or trans case repair either.

I can't find the picture anymore but I would pull about 6-8" of air under the front tires with 26x10 15 ET Drags.

Best N/A 60' "I think" cant remember was 1.52?? With 396RWHP.

With a 75 wetshot I did a 1.40, but only once. Usualy about 1.42 or 1.43

i have the factory optional SLP road race suspension on my '01 SS. the front sway bar is HUGE as it much Bigger than the stock one. does anybody make a smaller sway bar for Drag racing only for our F-Bodies? i don't want to completely eliminate my sway bar, but i do want something lighter than my stock one as i still drive my car on the street......

go to a standard instead of the upgraded on if you still want to use a sway bar. most people that drag just get rid of it, or you could just take it off and put it back on when your ready.
