Default Went to the track today, Im stumped, A few questions.

Well I went to the track tonight.Good news is the car was hooking amazing tonight. 10 out of 11's runs deadhooking and mostly 1.7 60's.On stock irs suspension/shifter. "just drag bags". Bad news is the car bogged from 3,000-5,000 rpm launches. No matter what rpm's. even 5,000 rpm clutch drops it would bog and drop from 5,000 to around 2500rpm's off the launch. I can't figure out if it's the tune, or just the fact it was deadhooking. The monster clutch was doing it's job. 11 passes tonight. mostly hotlapping.Even the anouncer mentioned how I had a bad azz clutch in it, and he even mention how the car was hooking and bogging.. Im hoping it's just the hoosier slicks. But the stock irs suspension took it like a champ and didn't break.

so runs were from 12.0-12.3 at 114mph. tonight.
I was really hoping for 11's.

could it be the tune? or just the fact it was deadhooking. It's acted like this the last two times at the track. the last time I was on a stock clutch, and I figured the bogging was the clutch slipping."But the clutch was shot. and then I put in a monster level 4 now and it still bogs at high rpm's .before I had et streets and pulled 1.7-1.8 60ft's before the hoosiers. but it never bogged. I did get a good speedensity tune from a very knowledgable tuner. before I went the last time. She's gaining 23-24mph. from the 1/8th-1/4th. So Im kinda at a loss???

Add more tire pressure until it just spins a little. My buddy has a Trex cam only 04 gto and that thing will pretty much always bog if it hooks. He runs a 12.4 @ 111mph with a 1.8 60' . On a 150+ shot he ran a 10.9 @ 130 mph with a 1.5 60'. He runs 255/50/16 MT ET Streets and I have seen him dump the clutch @ 7000 rpm lol!

Im running a 255/50/16 hoosier drag radial on fbody salad shooters.
The tire is almost idential to a mt et street biasply. It's more like a slick then a dr.
and I was running 15psi. in them. On my last run, I aired them up to 30lb. because I was going to head home, but my buddy talked me into one more run. and it seemed not to bog so bad at all.And it still hooked good. but they already turned off the printer, so I couldn't see how she did. The temps were in the high 40's. and the track was really tacky. which is a good thing.
