Default Electrical/Wiring Question

There's not really an electrical section anywhere, but figured it'd fit best here since anyone who's removed the dash to gut or put in a 10pt might have some info....

I'm trying to track down what i guess is a bad ground.

Everytime i start my car, the tach/speedo, etc reset. They all sweep, trip meter resets etc. years ago this happened and it was due to a bad battery. i've got a brand new optima and it still does it.

Here's the reason why i think it's a ground. When i go to pop the clutch to do a burn out in the water box, the jolt to the car makes the tach/speedo reset, just like on start up.

so my question is where is the ground for all the wiring behind the dashboard? the only 1 i can think of is on the passenger side iirc.

any thoughts?

I can think of 2 places

On each side of the dash, where it bolts down at the bottom, there are ground wires that go there.

Kinda hard to describe, but it's where the dash bolts down on the outside/bottom. It's a 13 mmm nut.

Looks like cluster ground is on the left kick panel.

My car started doing the same thing after I relocated the battery. I tried to find the problem but was unsuccessful. I never checked the grounds under the dash...
