Default First time with a torque arm

I just got a cam installed and I opted for a Torque arm which gets installed this friday. I'm assuming this will help with the new added torque of this cam? also, it is adjustable but how will I know which way to adjust it? I'm racing the next day, but just test and tune so I can play with it. Any help?

what torque arm you gettin'. Sounds like your a ta virgin; don't worry, everyone has a first time.

Just kidding. I think you just adjust it to have -2 degrees of pinion angle. That is so it doesn't put the pinion/u-joint/driveshaft in a bind.

A TQ is a major help as people have broken stockers, depending on how hard the car hits the tires. Plus any adjustibility make a major difference.

I see your rear end spitting out 1st.

yup, and a Driveshaft too, expect to be paying 2.5k or so for brand new, or start trolling the classifieds, people often need to demod the car and you can get one in the high teens w/o DS.

well, I am on my 3rd set of gears now (almost a full year with the yukon gears). The two times I have busted them have both been trying to squeeze out of the hole. Nitrous is gone off the car now.

thanks dude. So far the only thing I notice about the torque arm is that it wants to rip the floor of my car up during shifts lol

It was not that bad tonight. Once they prepped the track it was good for 30 minutes. I set two new best times 11.77 @114.3 w/ 1.58 60ft and 11.76 @ 114.29 1.56 60 ft. I blew the tires off on a couple other runs. Dam ricers and idiots with there pick up trucks left water all over the place.
Sean made a 11.72 @114 pass a well.
Maybe next month we can meet up.

WOW I forgot to check that. Explains why the car was pulling so hard. That is about as good as it gets at Firebird. I remember last year we had a 600 ft. night and my car ran a 12.19 before I put the cam in. That was the best DA I have ever seen between speedworld and firebird.
