Rear Qa1 settings with stock front suspension
I've been setting them at 3 left 4 right or 4/5 depending on the track. I am now hearing that guys are setting rears at 6 and above. What are you setting yours at for bracket racing? Thanks

Depending how well the car is working, rears need to be general stiff. What I can tell you is for my car which has a heavy race weight is bouncing the body off the rear, JL and I have been working on in and he suspect I may see as high as 8's and actually if the Rear drag bar is set up correctly, it should not need any offset. But we need to get out there and see how the car works.

Thanks for the info..so if I have a loose front end ie. race shocks/springs I set the rears stiff to handle the launch but if my front is stock (which it is) I soften it a bit to allow the car to move? I'm going with 5/5 vs my 3/4 and see how it goes.

Thanks for the info..should I get the QA1 RC7855P front shocks with 275 springs? Also, how difficult are they to adjust? The rears I can reach under and turn the ****..

The 300 lb springs will br fine on a stock car, a little softer then stock, but not like the 275. The 275 spring is for cars that are under the 3100 mark IMO. If it's over that, then you need the 300's If it's more then 3600, you probably need the 325's, just to support the weight up.
I have ran the back of my car at 4, and as high as 12. Depends on the track and what power level you're at, track prep, suspension on the car, etc.
For a bolt on car that's not making alot of power I'd set the back of the car as stiff as you can and see if it hooks. If you're on pretty much any 15 inch rim/tire combo it should hook fine. If you're on stock 17 inch wheels and something like an et radial, I'd try them around 8 or 9 and see what you get, leave the fronts somewhat loose, start say at 3 (assuming these are single adjustable 12 way shocks, regardless of manufacturer)

Well I just picked up a set of QA1s RC7855Ps with 300 lb springs at Spohn Eng.
Steve at Spohn is a great guy and very helpful.
With adjustables all around I should have better luck when the track is not perfect.
Question: when the track is good I set the rears firmer and when it is not so good I set the rears softer but the front stays loose, ie 3 or 4 for weight transfer?
