4th Gen NHRA Class Cars- 27" & 28" Fronts? With the rollout games the NHRA class cars play, I was told some of them will run a 27" or 28" tall front tire.
Do those even fit on a 4th Gen?
I have a 26" DS2 now, but would consider a 27" tire if it works to get a little more ground clearance.

On my stocker I run a m/t 27.5 and it clears with no trimming of anything. Anything bigger than that will prolly need some trimming. Stocker guys trim the fenders and make it lool like they haven't been touched. I've seen some 29'' fronts on 4th gens.

I run 28" MT Sportsmans. I originally wanted to keep my ABS to keep the car more streetable so I went the the same tire diameter as the rear to prevent ABS problems. Now I plan on removing the ABS so it's nice to know there is a benefit to these tires.

It will take a bit to get used to, initially changing will result in your reaction times looking pretty bad, but once your used to it you should be faster, technicially 
I thought about doing this one myself, not sure if the tires will fit with the drop spindles, but if I find the reduced ride height to be a problem, I have a way to get it back now.

Nah, not that big a deal. You'll just be green a little more often.

I'm good for a consistant .040 to .020 light on a good day, .400 pro tree. Not great, but it's o.k. for a guy that's on limited track time.
I'd have to definitely work on that some more, as I know the bigger tires generally will slow the reaction time if you don't adjust for them.
I just got the 1 inch drop spindles for the car, if I find they're too much of a drop, I'll put a 28 inch tire on the car and get the ride height back with that, and the bigger tire "advantage"
