Default battery relocate box?

i know that it requires a sealed box to be considered legal but would it be legal if i put the battery in the spot behind the passenger wheel and made an enclosed compartment out of it? or does it need to be a box?

If you build a metal bulkhead that goes in place of the stock trunk flap, that is legal. Many people go that route and leave the battery exposed. You could also put a fuel cell in there at that point, and it too would be legal.

it is sealed when the hatch is closed the wolfe is fixed it does not hinge when you install it it is there to stay so the bulkhead needs to have a space to access anything in the rear, but when hatch is closed the bulkhead is sealed
