Default Stock Electric Fan wired to run in the pits?

Does anyone have info on how to wire the stock fans so that they can be turned on in the pit with the ignition switch OFF. I want to also wire up the electric water pump to run at the same time also.
Thanks

I wired my water pump so that it's turned on/off with a swith in the panel on the dash, you could easily wire a switch to turn the fans on/off, as well as the water pump if you wanted to. Run a simple switch to power a relay, then have the relay power the pump and the fans.... just take the fans and disable them in the computer, remove the factory wiring, and run a ground and a power back to the relay, then run a good ga. hot wire to the relay.

Simple, and will do what you want. The computer won't be able to turn them on/off anymore, you'll have to do it manually.

If you want to retain the factory setup, the slp switch would be the easiest way. The water pump, I'd just wire it in like I described, and don't forget to turn it on.

Guys, thanks for the info. I guess I need to get a SLP harness if I want it to work with the stock computer also.

JL ws-6, I plan to wiring up a separate relay to a power strip for the electric water pump, Oil cooler fan and wanted to tie into the fans and still have them work with the stock computer as well. I am sure the SLP harness is just a relay with two ways to activate it.
Thanks
Bob
