Looking for true hood weight savings w/fiberglass
Thinking of shedding some weight with a VFN bolt on 4" but would like to know the true weight savings over a stock WS6 hood and if it is worth it. Anyone actually weighed these combos before? I know what the sticky says but that is a generic est not actuall. Thanks for the help.

check my built thread I posted all this. My Z28 hood was 48ish
pin on sunco was 14.8
I never weight the racecraft hood rails, and the 20-25 Dzuses/ backer washers/rivits.
The hindges, inner fender studs plate they bolt to. The latch and the whole metal brace down to the bottem of the core support you remove. And the hood bumpers, and pop struts. That stuff I put in a box, I htink I weight it? it much have been 10-15#
I would say it was 40ish savings. I had to lower the front coilovers after the swap it raised up a bunch

And if you want the brakets spot welded, for the front hood bumpers are pretty big. You can drill them off, and the braket for pop rods too.
