Who runs a Beck intake?
Wanted to post this in the external section but most that would run this setup would be in here. I am looking at upgrading to a Beck but need help with runner length. Who here has a Beck, what combo and your runner length? John Beck has said 5 3/8 is his standard for the fbody cars. Not sure that is going to work and do not need to spend 2k for nothing.

I'm assuming this is N/A?
I just made this type of decision just a couple days ago.
The runner length is standard 5 3/8" basically because it fits inder the hood, John Beck himself told me that.
7500 rpm isn't exactly a hi revving rpm and the short runner length will give power in the higher rpms range and you will lose low end hp and torque, a good amount of it.
If you were gonna spin it to 8k+ and had big gear in it (and big stall but you have a manual correct?) to get those rpms up there so you could get to the rpm range of that intake then yes the Beck would be a great choice but it your case (much like mine) losing all that low end power and shifting at 7500, just when that intake is really getting into it's rpm range IMO just isn't worth it and I'd bet you'd be slower than with just a ported LS7 stock intake with your combo.
I think a FAST or a Wilson would be a much better choice for your combo.
I'm sending you a pm.

Ran a beck on my 421 way back when. It was the standard length runners . That thing was awesome I made 630 rwhp n/a ,went 141 mph at 3450pds real weight! I only had a 90mm fast on it at the time too!
I spun my motor to 8000 8200 rpm and it loved it. Believe me money well spent if you ask me. The guy that bought my motor has only made 565 rwhp both sticks and he has a ported from mamo fast 90. Just a little info thought it might help ya out. He has more of a street setup ,but I still say 30rwhp over the fast easy on a motor that needs it.
