Default Turbo Smallblock Camaro Project

I'm finally starting my Camaro project. Its a 1996 Camaro RS body. For right now its getting a 12 point cage with everything for 25.5, accept the actual funny car cage around the driver. Me and a friend are doing the bending with a manual bender, and I'm doing all the welding. Here are some pictures I've taken so far.
Main hoop.

A-Pillar bars

Windshield bar

A little more information. 295 drag radial car. 1200 hp turbo small block Chevy.
I'm undecided if its going to be standard or LS style motor. Hopefully a Midwest Chassis 9 inch rear end. I would like an automatic with overdrive but I'm not sure if that's possible, I need to do more research. Let me know what you guys think.

If you are looking for an automatic with overdrive go with a 4L80e. It will be heavy and pretty expensive, but fit what you are looking to accomplish.

I have the transmission you need...
Rossler 210/4L80E and Midwest Racing Converter This is the baddest of the bad 4L80E's built. This is the one I went 7's with. It has everything done to it that Rossler can do plus a 210 gear set. The converter is a custom piece that uses our racing converter with a lockup clutch. Both have just been gone thru and are like new.
$5,000 OBO
PM me if your interested and want more info.

Well the mini tub turned into full tubs. I could'nt get the car as low as I wanted. I'm going to run the new Mickey Thompson 295/55 Street Radial. So we sectioned and raised the wolfe mini tub kit I had. Here are some more pics.

We added a plate at the rocker for more strength.

The back seat still fits.

Also got the cross bar behind the seat, and the back bars finished. I'm going to add the bars that go through the spring perches next. Also have to do the door bars still. Everything that is in the car is fully welded minus the tubs.

Added a little more strength to the dash bar. It also ties the cage to the body.

Thanks guys. The car is back home right now, and I've got a lot of grinding and painting to do.

Really nice work! Maybe it's just the pictures, but your door bars look like they may end up being too low? Do they split your elbow/shoulder when you're seated in the car?

Yes they are actually closer to top of shoulder. I'm just short. 5'7"
