From what I've heard the NT05R is supposed to be a middle ground between the 555R's and the Mickey DR's... Hence the fact that there are still sticky mickeys on the back of my car...

My buddy has them on a ls1 h/c/i car and he did a nice burnout with them. 6spd as well, lets say it was a squeel fest and lil smoke show....brand new tires and he says they suck. But on the street he said they hook pretty good...so idk

To play around on the street nittos get the job done..not as well as others..but they work..You have to get them really hot it seems like to make um work

I wish they had a 28in tire also..It bugs me when my tire tread doesnt match..idk im just wierd like that..

Yep,

That's the truth. Not a M/t street radial, but not as bat as a 555R. I'd put them CLOSE to a Hoosier DR. We have a set of 295/18's in the shop right now for a CTS-v

they work very good. i actually ran a couple hundreths quicker on them then on mt's. same track. same day. but they do require a good burnout to work on the track.

I was under the impression from reading on here (and from talking to guys I know that use them) that the Hoosier DRs are at least as good as the M/T radials, if not better. A lot lighter too.

I was going to get a set once my BFGs are gone but was going to use them for the street I was wondering if they last longer then the BFGs. I use MT for the track.

Hoosiers are more forgiving than M/T (the lightness I attribute to less cords in the sidewalls since they seem to flex a little more), and there is a test on the new Nittos on a high 10 second street/strip Mustang in the latest issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords (don't kill the messenger, just an FYI).

If your looking for a street tire buy a street tire. If your looking for a drag radial, buy what works; M/T, Hoosier, and now the Goodyear. If you drive a Honda buy the Nitto.
