Default rearend fitment with min tubs

i have a 1992 camaro with a strange 12 bolt that is made for the thirdgen camaro so its shorter than the 4th gen rearend.

im contemplating buying a 98-02 roller and putting my ls1/th400 12 bolt swap in it because ive always wanted a 4th gen.

if i minitub the 4th gen will my thirdgen rear fit with 28x12.50-15s on a 15x10 w/5.5 bs... or what kind of spacers will i need to use factory 4th gen rims?

i essentially want to build a track only car. just weighing my options...

thanks.

you wouldnt need to mini tub. i think those wheels will work fine without spacers. may even need a 6.5" backpace so they dont stick out. im not exactly sure how much shorter the 3rd gen rear is over the 4th gen rear. i thought it was 1" per side or a bit more.

The third gens are 1.5 inch shorter on both sides the a 4th gen. so to be correct would be 6.0 back spaceing, you probly could get away with 5.5 bs maybe a little hammering.

with the 6.5" backspace it will tuck in a little better. you may need offset control arms and a little massaging of the inner wheel well depending on how wide of a tire you run but it will look good.
