Default 1/8th mile mph is weak compared to ET??

Here is the setup

6.0 370ci
PRC stage II LS6 heads 11:1 comp
236/242 .605/.613 108+2 degrees advance
Victor Jr. intake
4150 EFI Throttle body
Moser 9" 4.11 gears
275/60/15 MT drag radials
4L60E transmission
Yank SS 4000 stall converter
Full Spohn/BMR suspension
Hal R series shocks in front and back
weight with driver 3450/3500lb. range

Now i have not got to run this new setup in over a year but have always wondered why i never mph really good in the 1/8th mile. I'm starting to wonder if the cam is not right for the setup. My buddy mentioned something about another friend of ours cam profile was much different and maybe that was why our et and mph was down. It became really noticeable yesterday with the new 4 barrel 4150 throttle body setup because i and other could hear the motor completly change in the top of 2nd gear and all of 3rd gear then i really came alive and would run very well on the topend. I thought about maybe it wanted more gearing but if i went to a 4.30 or 4.56 it might hurt me when i start spraying it.

Yesterday's best pass at a local 1000ft. track

60ft. 1.45
330. 4.41
1/8. 6.95@95.50
1000ft. 9.13@113.01

Any cam racing gurus care to share info? I'm thinking of raiseing the LSA some to get it to rev higher into the power band faster because im starting to think the lower LSA is not keeping up until the motor begins to get momentum on the other end of the track.

I sent my converter back today Scott but I know what you mean about it being lazy in 1st. We're throwing the 4.30's back in it and I told Marty at Neal Chance to set it up for all motor and the 4.30's. Isn't Broz's cam like a 114+4LSA? I know his car felt VERY strong out of the hole even though it was leaving in 2nd gear. At
least you ran a 6.9x on motor I barley got a 1.65 all motor .

Just don't give up on it...put the guitar down, I'm sure we can figure our **** out

I plan to do that and get all the little grimilins out of the suspension and get it dialed in so i can see what is really happening. Im just looking at other options on the cam profile because of the way the power curve was so noticeable on the high side of the runs i made.

If it's only making real good power on the top end, that should give you a high MPH, with slow ET, opposite from what it's doing.
