Default transfering weld in 6 point

is there any way thats known to remove a weld in 6 point cage and move it to another car? Also would you all consider this safe? The owner of the cage and i have deemed it best to cut at the weld points. THen when i get it in my car i was gonna trim it a little to fit each other a little better. does this sound ok?

You can cut it out with cutting wheels if you are carefull. Im not sure but it would seem to me that its up to the tech inspector.

If its cut at the welds then reinstalled over old welds, how would a tech inspector know?

I bought a six point that had been from another car. The other car had been wrecked so they cut out the floorboard. Then the floorboard was separated from the plates. Sounds like it won't be this easy in your case though. I guess cut as close as you can down low.
I see no issues in moving one, mine is used, you could never tell it has been in another car.

hardest part is door bars . it can be done but sucks IMO. i would consider doing swing outs. that way you can just install back 4 pts. that is not too bad.

ok guys i appreciate the input. seems like if i'm very careful with the cuts i should be fine. i am considering making swing outs sense the length will be slightly lessened by cutting the door bars out. more feedback would be great. keep it comin guys. thanks

cut above the 6x6 plates. put new 6x6 plates in your car and weld to those. it may sit just a touch lower depending on how close you cut.

It might be easier to start with a new rollbar, but I bought my 6pt that was previously welded to another car. If the main hoop was previously welded to the lowest part of the floorboard then you can weld yours to the upper part of the floorboard. That's how mine was and I actualy had to cut off a short section at the bottom of the main hoop to get it to fit, and it's very tight to the roofline now. If it's got welded door bars, you'll probably have to cut those off in order to get the main hoop/rear bars out of the car into yours as one piece.

I was going to make a thread but this is one will cover the same topic.

Is it possible to fit and tack the blue part of the cage, then remove it as one piece for final welding and painting. Then reinstall and weld it to the plates or floor?

That's exactly how I bought mine since it was used. Had the rear bars already welded to the main hoop (everything you show in blue). It was a tight fit getting it in/out of the car during trial fitments, and you'll have to pull the seats, carpet etc.... But yes, you should be able to do it that way. Alot of guys will tack the rear bars to the main hoop, then lay the main hoop forward to finish weld for better welding access.
