I need to get a new rack and I generally just drive my car on the weekends and never in bad weather. I'd really like to clean up the engine bay getting rid of the power steering pump and all.
Also, will a manual rack bolt up to the stock k member or is an aftermarket one required?

Hey Madman, I have been reading around and from the sounds of it, people who are setting up their manual rack and manual brakes the proper way arent having any issues with day-to-day driving which is good but then again, I guess its personal preference. But are these customers you have just running the rack setup the proper way or is there a "better" way of doing; ie, running skinnier tires up front with the rack or having certain suspension parts to help out? Just throwing around these ideas and questions for the future...thanks

Are they running on stock wheels and tires or skinnies up front? I've been really thinking of going to your manual rack to get as much weight out of the car as possible. I'm on the fence though because I drive the car on the street with 275s on 17x9.5 ZR1s. Btw my car is not driven daily, it comes out on weekends and nice summer days.

Well the whole 51.5 **** goes out the window with the power steering delete.IDK who come up with that number. As for an a4 car. You have to move the tab for the transmission lines as well. Ask me how I know. PS delete got a rainy horrible DA day into the 12s lol.
