Here's a few shots of mine when I first got it installed. Got all the couplers, clamps, and rubber elbows from intakehoses dot com. You would need to eliminate the ABS block for this to work.

From the 90mm TB to the 4" K&N filter -----> Stock LT1 rubber 90deg elbow, 85mm MAF, 4" coupler, 4" straight pipe, 4" 45deg elbow, 4" straight pipe (can't see it), 4" 90deg elbow, 4" straight pipe, 4" K&N Filter.

The LT1 rubber elbow fits perfectly over a 90mm TB.

Nope. In a short trip down the drag strip, it's really not going to make a difference.

ya, tthats very understandable. i think i am goin to do something similar but mine will be sitting right ontop of the radiator and slightly infront of it. since i do alot of street driving i want to keep as much heat as i can off of the filter so i will bend some sheet metal to isolate the filter a little bit so it can still draw cold air from the front and from my ws6 hood.

Chrs1313 RA is the ticket and we have been selling them along with FTP lids like crazy!

I will be doing a FTP lid swap on my LT1 car along with a custom Chrs1313 RA in a few weeks.

Here's a few of the early stages of mine. I still need to do a little more clearancing and finish the ducts to the bumper, and of course do some painting
