Default Laptop in your race car?

I'm wondering if I want to buy a cheap new dell laptop, and datalog with hp tuners, now that my car is race only

It'll be on the spray, and a TH400....but do I really need to drop the cash on that, when I'll have everything tuned on the dyno?

if your going to have it tuned on the dyno then its probably not worth it, when you will need a laptop at the track is if your running real quick, running many different tracks and need to change your tune a lot, or like i have i need to tune 3 stages of nitrous and need to change it to track conditions, another reason would be for data logging but if your gonna have hp tuners just log with that. -tony-

I run it in my car since I have the standerd hp tuners kit so I have to have the lap top in the car to datalog. and it is very nice to have at the track to make little changes.

Yes but you have to have the pro version to be able to do that, the pro version box has 1 hour worth of data time with just the box plugged into the port, otherwise the standard has to be connected the lap top and be running to datalog.

I use a netbook and just set it on the passenger seat.

I borrow my friends cable/ box and data log it on my pass then come back and look at the A/F and see if I need to make changes and see what the motor is doing.
