Default Mounting 2 1/16 gauges in radio delete panel

im posting this here because i figured only you guys delete your radios. I've never done this before so any advice would be appreciated. what should i use to mount my 2 1/16 gauges into a plastic ABS radio delete panel? theres gotta be some kind of mount? Thanks in advance.

I made my radio delete panel out of small gauge aluminum. I can't remeber exactly what gauge it was but it was not very thick at all. I prefer to work with ALuminum over ABS plastic. There are some pictures in the thread in my sig.

As far as mounting to the plastic, you cut a hole through the plastic that fits the 2 1/16 and the rest of the parts should be supplied with the gauge. The come with a large sleeve that holds the gauge it's self in place with two bolts after you slide it through the hole you just cut. It's pretty simple. You'll see exactly what I mean when you order your gauge(s).

ah right on man thanks for the info. would those same gauge mounts be used in an a-pillar gauge pod? thats where my gauges are mounted at the the moment.

Most likley. Here's a picture that shows what the gauge looks like when it comes through the hole. From there the sleeve uses the plastic as a pinch point to hold both the gauge and sleeve in place using the two bolts. It's really simple.

They came with my gauges.
