Default wanna put the car on a diet

I read the sticky above but I wanna take some weight out of the car and keep it looking as stock as possible. my car is mostly a street car but I do take it to the track a good bit. I know things like airbag, leather seats, carpet. impact bumpers . Im just looking to see what some others opinons r that will drop some pounds but keep the factory look

I guess it just depends on far you want to go w/ your interior, can't take too much out while appearing stock. You can do lightweight carpet, rear seat delete and some ligher front seats.

ive read that people find lightweight carpet at local auto stores.. think its pretty generic stuff..

im in the same process of you right now.. well sorta, i intended to just rip out my dash to install my wideband & some gauges for this radio delete plate im making, but its turned into a larger project. im in the process of completely removing my air/heater core and all the duct work. removing your airbags will def shed some weight. i believe the passenger airbag unit alone is ~15 lbs.

yeah most people use Ozite for their carpeting, it's cheap and the lightest. If you want i think speed inc makes a pre-formed light weight carpet you can buy if you want. I think my no carpet tin can looks rugged haha can't afford ozite carpet yet.

you can do almost everything on the list an look stock..ive seen mini tub jobs that look stock at a glance because the plastic is still there..you can delete the rear seats, belts, rear speakers,t top pan, spare an jack.make sure you got tripple though..swap carpet, pull the installation from the doors an sound dampening/heat matt on the fire wall..trim front fender metal..you can trim/gut the doors if your not worried about the door bars, take bumpers off an trim front frame horns...swap out to a big single fan will save some weight..remove hvac..you know..basics

I used the list above and took out between 350-400 lbs and mine still looks stock besides the weld wheels.
