Default Manual brake conversion and pedal not returning?

Installed a manual brake kit from Midwest and the pedal will stay pressed down? Theres no binding in the rod end linkage, we're running aerospace calipers up front and stockers in the rear. Anyone have a clue why you have to reach down and pull the pedal back (or stick your toe under it) in order to release pressure?

Make sure you didn't over-tighten the jam nut on the brake pedal itself. If it is too tight it will bind and actually not return correctly.

What Jon said and make sure there is no air in the brakes as well.

Eric made a point to tell us that you need a washer between the pedal and the heim joint so that it wont bind. Just something I remember him saying that goes along with what the others have said.
