Help selecting a torque arm
I'm in the middle of having a 383 LT1 stroker built. My car is pretty much stock other than that and a set of 4.10 gears. I was told I should get a set of SFCs and an aftermarket torque arm. I've been looking into it, and I have no idea what torque arm would be best for me! The car sees a lot of track time, however it's also driven around town on nice days as well. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Amanda

That sounds pricey... lol
Trust me, I'm not one of those people who thinks racing is cheap, but I'm in the middle of spending $3000-$4000 on my engine build, and won't have thousands of dollars to drop on a full suspension set up. I wish I could!

After all of the research I've done over the years I went with 99% UMI components for every suspension piece under my car (only exception being a Wolfe solid rear swaybar). Top notch stuff at a killer price and the service to back it up. I couldn't be happier with fit, finish, and will have track results soon enough.
Can't say anything about other vendors, but UMI kicks some serious *** in my experience...and a lot of the "other" vendors were significantly more expensive depending on the part.

Thanks for suggesting UMI Performance! And its great to hear that you are satisfied with the quality and performance of our products. Like mentioned above we do offer a few different versions of torque arms. If you are interested I posted a link below and if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Hello
I always say if the vehicle sees more on the street and the track. Then I would suggest going with full length arm with a relocation cross member to get the arm off the transmission. And if the vehicle is a strip car or high HP. And you aren't worried about a little noise due to the weight transfer. And want maximum performance I would highly suggest going with a tunnel mounted version due to the shorter arm will allow for the weight transfer faster than a longer arm. So if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks
