Default lowering a dragcar

Ok guys I have my car setup up for dragracing all tubular parts. I have been running stock v6 springs in front to this point with 50/50s and upper pads pulled in the rear. Ok heres the thing I have been wanting to lower it but cant decide if I want use some springs like eibach drag launch or one of the sponsors. Or should bite the bullet and go for coilovers? The car has a built motor with spray and is a M6 with 12bolt rear but havnt had it to the track yet! lol

You cant go wrong with adjustment, well unless you make the wrong adjustments. But you are better off having the adjustment options available so go with the coilovers and be done with it.

If you have the money, coil overs are the way to go. Feel free to PM or email me if you would a quote on a set of strange or afco coil overs.

eibach drag launch springs will make your car higher not lower. I used Hotchkis 1" lowering springs with Comp 3 ways out back, and strange DA shocks with 300# springs up front. Will eventually go wit strange DAs all around

I may go with the strange coilovers myself the price dont look to bad on them.

they are some of the best out there, I just couldnt past up 80bucks for the rear shocks untill I can afford coil overs. This is how the car sits on a 28" rear tire.

Do your rear tires rub any. Mine sets lower with the v6 springs in the front and the pads pulled in the rear but I like that tucked look.

They havent rubbed yet but I rolled the fenders, and used all adjustable rear suspension to center them. I can drop the front more but it makes it a bitch to get in the driveway/trailer or jacking up the car. I do have the rear insulators in. It was to close to the 1/4 panel and the tires need room to grow.

For the front I would use drop spindles. On the rear you can use coil overs or adjustable spring perches.

Let me know if we can help.

Good point. Overlooked that and assumed a 10" wheel.

Stock width rear and yep 8" rim is the reason for the 5.5 bs. I would be nice to take 1" off each side to make the tires tuck a bit more. Oh and its a 26" Et front tire
