Default How picky are they about weather at drag strips?

Was gonna go for the first time tomoro night but its calling for 40% rain around race time. Do most tracks just not even bother opening when theres a chance of rain or do they actualy wait till theres rain coming down?
Figures rain is gonna ruin my first time most likely

Around here they open and will keep on racing till the rain falls, even then if its just a sprinkle they will start racing again after they dry the track.

If it is clearly going to rain, they won't open. If it is clowdy and may or maynot rain they will probably run till it rains.

Same here in New England.

Assuming the weather holds out, look for me and other Fbodies around a white tent. Send me a PM and I can give you more info and get you hooked up with our club.

Most track operators are highly safety conscious. At Infineon, racing will occasionally be limited to 1/8-mile because of high winds.
