Best place to mount fuel pump?
Wheres the best place to mount the fuel pump for a rear stand alone fuel system? Trying to do this tonight. Can/Should I keep it in the trunk or mount it outside the car? Closer to the cell the better correct??
Thanks

I'd mount it right to the side of the t top well, somewhere away from the exhuast. I'd definitely put the pump outside, this way if you were to have a leak on the pressure side fuel won't be spraying inside the car.
I assume you have a legal metal bulkhead for the trunk area... if not they're gonna give you a real hard time at the track, chances are you won't be running it at all.
That's why I always put standalone fuel cell's in the nose/engine bay, just so I don't have to deal with that. Plus it's alot ligher, less line to worry about having an issue with, etc. harris makes a nice little one that tucks in the corner, or if you do a burkhard bumper support, there's lots of room in the nose with that there to mount a 1 gallon cell up there along with the pump and whatnot.
Any reason you put it in the back?

jl you aint lieing up front its tight..i was planing on running a 3 gal right behind my rad but used a box an stuff to mock everything up an old line to make sure i could lay it all out how i would like an i soon found out theres not enough room..so now im using the stock tank to get it up an running again an then will mount a 5 gal out back.

Just get Burkhart's nose support, it's legal size tubing so you can put it up in the nose, then you can fit a 3 gallon main tank, or your standalnoe or whatever in there.
Or, go with their little radiator mounted in there, then you have plenty of room where the radiator was and you can put it there.

I think they have one now... I'd check with them. regulator, I'd put that right by the solenoid, so that way there's no line that's trying to be regulated too. You should have more consistant fuel pressure to your system that way. Cheap Holley regulator is what 99% of the guys I know use for low pressure fuel systems.

I have this N/O plate kit, no way to mount the regulator next to it. Pretty sure I need high pressure with my kit and jets, the jet card calls for 45psi. I have an aeromotive A1000 regulator and its kinda big.
Ill double check with Burkhart and the front support. I know they have a rear support already.

Jan,
Im not sure on the part# since I bought the entire kit and a ton of other stuff at the same time. Just call up the Nitrous Outlet and they will hook you up.
