Do I have to use a window switch with 12 bolt
Does anyone use it all or just spray out the gate and dont use one at all. I have a fully built trans with 12 bolt, do I even need a window switch setting or not? Is it safer, better, mandatory to have one?
thanks

A nitrous window switch is just a safety device to keep you from spraying under or over the safe RPM. It really doesnt have much to do with a rearend. It just keeps you from accidentally hitting the button when youre at like 1000 RPMs which would cause a backfire or something bad like that. I have my window switch set at 3000 RPM on and 5500 RPMs off.

I know that but I leave the line at 1500rpm off the brake then as I go WOT it turns on the spray. So do I need the window switch or not? It shifts at 6800rpm and I have a fully forged engine, built trans and 12 bolt!

Yeah you do not want to spray under 3000 rpms. But if you think about it, the amount of time you spend between 1500-3000 rpms is almost negligible. I would set the switch from 3000 to 100 rpms past where you shift just to be safe.
