You will be fine on Nitto's put over 150 passes on stock 10 bolt before I sold it. Cut 60's as low as 1.74. Depends on how you launch and your tracks prep.

Between 3-3200, that's all it takes. Just did that 2 weeks ago at an excellent track in 39 degrees. And my 02 Z06 clutch isn't the happiest since my cam went in. Doesn't like shifting between 6400-6600 these days.

Depends on how you launch and how you go out on the clutch. I never went more than 3500 RPM.

Now if you said BFG drag radials then I'd think again....a bit too sticky for a 10 bolt IMO.

I did have 4.10 gears in it and they took alot more of the pressure off the clutch...same clutch is still in my car only thing changed is a 12 bolt rearend and a mild 212/218 cam. Same 60's as before...just don't have to worry about breaking anymore

4.10 are nicer to the clutch but makes the 10 bolt even weaker. as for the nittos vs. bfg. your misinformed somwhere cause nittos are just as sticky if you know how to heat them up and have in every aplication performed just as well as bfg's on the track. thats why it is prefered by everyone i know. they also last better on the street. i pulled just as good a 60 with 245 nittos as some pull with et streets.

I have heard that 4.10's are weak, as for Nitto's being as sticky as a BFG...possible I heat mine everytime before a launch.

I probably won't ever try the BFG...if I got to a tire I will go to a slick. I have the rear but not the clutch yet.

BFG's are not as friendly on the street as a Nitto is. In rain, they are really bad. I live where it downpours and have cruised around on both new and bald in the middle Nitto's and haven't had a problem but I don't drive let a nut in the rain. I can't debate the BFG vs Nitto on the track because I've never used them. I cut just as good 60's on Nittos to not have the concern about having a stickier tire. I've cut the same 60's as others who have been on BFGs....I don't really know anyone who uses them daily as most do with Nitto's.

As for 60's there are people who have never gotten 1.7's on them...some have gone 1.6. Depends on your car, your technique on your launch and most of all the tracks prep. That is why I can happily say 1.7's consistent is good enough for me only launching at 3200

i totaly agree on all that. when i sell these et streets im getting some et drags. i cant hook up much better on streets than i do on nittos so far. so im going to some drags. im already set up for it except for the drive shaft. oh well if it goes it goes. i just want some low 1.6's not low 1.7's already been there but im not hitting 11's with these crappy launches im getting.

I am not going to go w/ ET streets yet because I need a clutch. Driving my car daily is why I want to stick with a stock clutch for now. Even though it's not liking to be shifting at 6600....it's still working tho.

I really want to try the MT Drag radials they are coming out with. I like to motor in on my tires and go home I don't want to mess with changing my stuff at the track. With slicks I'd have to.....I will have to change back my wheels to my Nitto's but it's not like I have to do it that night.

I have found that my 60's were better at my home track with 15 psi the other night, so that's the deal from now on.

Unless my b/f wants to be my pit guy?

I don't think I want a Mcleod....my b/f has cracked them, melted the buffer springs even had one let go and put a hole in his bell housing. I am not sure what I want to do.

Rev locks have a bad rep around my house! We are going to take another stock Z06 clutch we have and send it out and have it re-done in Kevlar...see how that holds for me before I go to something in a stage III. I don't have the tires yet for a clutch that's going to be able to launch at 4500-5K yet.

Thaks for the info I've driven his car with all those clutches and the Mcleod he has now is an $800 clutch Mcleod sent because of the other 4 that were bad. This one is close to stock....pedal is higher and harder than mine...but his T56 is built his T/A is totally different feeling than mine granted it's faster than mine...but I like mine better even if I am a second or more slower!
