Default What PSI 17in. MT DR's

Was wondering what psi most of you guys go at for your M/T Drag radials. I'm running 275/40/17s and just trying to get as much out of them with whats left (not much). I usually run 15-17, but can I go any lower? Thanks

If it's a M6 car, it really does not matter as your not going to get then hook you want. Might as well leave enough PSI in the tire to help the balk half run and get some good steam. There is a balance to tire pressure as lowering it should help the 60 foot, and more helps the tire remain hard and you can see a big variation in MPH.

My opinion when it comes to DR's is to run as MUCH PSI as I can while keeping within 1 tenth of the best 60'. Which means testing and tuning and datalogging is recommended.

Ya, this will be my last set of DR's before going to a bias ply.
