Trap rpm's
I believing I'm trapping the 1/4 w/3.23's, A4 w/Vig 3200, stock motor, LS1 edit, 26-8.5x15 ET Drags at less than 5000 rpm's. My times are low 12.30's @ 110+ w/3550 raceweight. If I change to 3.73's, at what rpm's should I be turning going thru traps? Oh, shiftpoints are 6000 r's. Will the 3.73's show a improvement in e.t.'s or speed? Thanks. WJ.

Think I'm going thru around 4800 now w/the 3.23's. I was hoping the 3.73's would send me thru about 55-5600....4.10's might be a little annoying to me w/A4. Loved them in my '99 M6, though. Please comment more. Thanks Blkbird. WJ.

I would guess a tenth to 1.5 and maybe 1.5-2 mph. Just a rough guess but you should pick up a little pending traction. Traction or 60ft is everything with converter and gears but the et's should handle it.

Thanks. I'm shooting for high 12.0's w/stock motor and stock exhaust manifolds. I can shed another 50-60 lbs. off raceweight w/swaybar and back seat removal, putting me about 3490-3500. With that and the 3.73's, a cool, low humidity day at the sea level track up here in New England, I think I have a shot. My 60' times have been consistent 1.67's w/3.23's and 8.5" ET Drags. I'd like to get to low 1.60's w/the 3.73's. We'll see.... WJ.
