Need to wake this car up,67 chevelle 6.0
I ran this thing at the strip last time and ran a 13.1 at 105. I would like to get this thing back into the 11's which is what it ran with the 454 before going ls engine. It is a stock lq4 2007 6.0 with 4l80e out of a van. My plan was to port the heads and install a V.2 cam. Also install a 4000 stall convertor. I have 3.50 gears now but I have 4.30 gears I could throw in it. Any thoughts. I just thought it would be a little faster in stock form. I will have to get hp tuner also. I do have the stock intake also. This thing is a dog out of the hole so I thought the gears would help some. this car weighs 3720 with me in it.Thanks guys.

The stall will get you mid 13s with almost certainty. Drop a 100 shot and that puts you in mid 12s easily. Jump to a 150 shot and you should be nocking on 11.99's door. Tweak from there.
If you want to stay N/A you car going to have some work ahead of you. I wouldn't port the heads, I would get different ones. I forget the different heads(someone else will know) but there are a few really good options that aren't very costly. A good sized cam with the heads certainly will help but they will maybe take your 13.5(convert guess) and turn it into maybe 13.0.
If you don't have a custom tune you need to do your mods soon and get it tuned. A tune shaved .7 off my 1/4 and I didn't raise the shift points because my truck has 240,000 miles. I would guess Converter, Cam, Heads, Tune will get you close then a 50 shot would get you an 11.99 or better.
