Default Check Out The New Moroso LS1 Electric Water Pump

We have the privilege to install the New Moroso LS1 Electric Water Pump on our Camaro. Let me say its a really nice piece. They took a standard BBC electric water pump and made LS1 adapters.

Place the BBC WP over the adapters and its a LS1 electic water pump. Then all its needs is the AN lines to the remote thermostat housing then over to the radiator.

We made an aluminum bracket to mount the housing.

Since we were redoing the front end of the Camaro we replaced the factory radiator with a smaller Griffin rad.

We also used Moroso's vacuum pump with there LS1 drive kit.
Have the pump set at 12-13 inches.
The car revs so much faster now. Have to watch it when we do the burn out.

We used -16 AN lines and the water temp does not go over 180 at all. Its flows alot of water.

Here are some pictures of the Camaro in our booth at SEMA.

Nice looking water pump. The vacuum pump looks good too.. has moroso come out with a bracket that will attach the pump to the head, or just to their water pump? Last time I talked to anyone there, they had a bracket that was going to bolt to the passenger's side head to mount the pump... haven't heard anything about it though.

Maybe they'll have one at sema?

The pump attaches to the adapters. The remote housing require you to make a bracket or bolt it to an engine plate.

Very nice peice, but like everyone else im wondering the price. I think the Meziere is a bit expensive im wondering how this compares. I already have a remote mount but if the price isnt bad I may just pick one up.

Not a bad price when I searched google. It also claims 19gpm, that seems pretty high for an electric pump, certainly should be sufficient for even gridlock traffic duty!

Bump this up. Wondering if you could make heat work with it like a y connector or something.

Ya they sell just them, thats kind how the idea started for using a BBC. Before they had a LS pump of there own to fit.

http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?CatCode=29300

part number 63615

Fits: GM LS Series Engines

Adapts a BBC style electric or eonventional water pump to LS series engines
Eliminates the bulky LS water pump with a more compact, cost effective pump
Since BBC water pumps have been around for years, many different drive and pulleys are available and now can be used on a GM LS Series engine
Kit includes: 2 billet aluminum adapter blocks (right and left), 2 pump adapter plates, fasteners, Viton O-rings, and high flow –12 AN fittings
Requires the use of a remote thermostat housing such as Moroso Part No. 63425 or 63426

Now that came out with a specific LS full setup
