I don't know why someone would put it in the factory location or how you would refuel it. Put it back in the t-top well and install a bulkhead.

It's not gonna fit where the stock tank did. And, if you want to use the "hole" you cut to get to the factory pump (hack way of doing that by the way, dripping the tank isn't that hard) that's not gonna fly either, you will need a bulkhead from that position backward.

If you want to put a 5 gal in the trunk, then put it in the T top well, and put a bulkhead in place to seperate the trunk from the drivers compartment. Or, if this is a track only car, just put a 3 gallon up in the nose, mount it in something like a burkhart bumper support. You'll save alot more weight that way, and the fuel pump won't have to fight gravity to get the fuel to the motor anymore.

It's not hard at all and would be a lot better to put it in the rear trunk. It took all of 30 minutes to make a bulkhead and about another 30 minutes to mount the cell and run the fuel line.

I'm actually running a 6AN from the cell to the fuel pump, from the pump to the stock filter which Y's off to a poppet valve (58PSI Regulator), then to the stock fuel lines to the fuel rail.

^^Nice setup

Yea mounting it in the stock location just seems like a pain in the butt to me. If you put it in the trunk or under the hood behind the front bumper it easy to get to should you need to, as well as filling. I was going to mount mine in the trunk but I think instead ill mount it in the bumper as its a drag only car.
