Default M&H or MT drag radials

Trying to decide between the 2, heres some background. Going to be mainly on the street, but will see track time. I have a Turbo T/A that has about 600whp and is a 6pseed, planning on a 4l80e next year though.

Trying to decide between these:

325/50R15 M&H Racemaster DRs

P295/55R15 MT ET Street Radial

The reason for the different sizes is because Im told they are comparable, size wise.

Thanks everyone.

The MT 295's get my vote for best fitment and will save a few pounds of rotating mass to boot! And as for any DR, it's hard to beat the MT in that area too.

The M&H work OK but I feel the sidewall in them are too soft compared to the Mickeys..

My vote would be for the Mickeys.....

Ive had both in 16s. M&H for your street wheels. I'm getting them again over MT I have now.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...x8-wheels.html

M&H 275/55R16
28.0 x 9.5 x 16
26#s

MT 295/50R16
27.5 x10 x16
33#s

1- better in the rain, MT are ok new, but when the get half warn there get bad. M&H do better longer with less tread. And the last alot longer then MT on the street, I have a spool. The MT get softer and scuff easier on hot days and after driving 55+.

2- better street traction- MT spin easier on the street then the M&H in my car. Once the car is moving the MH never spun. At the track, there about the same for a street tire. I know how fast david wolf has gone on them. But its diffrent for the daily driving tires. MT did a little better (1.55 best MT 1.59 best MH) MT don't recover as good as MH. MT once they spin they keep spinning, MH you can keep the same throttle or lift a littttle for a bit and the hook back up as your getting ther car moving.

3- MH were 7 pounds a tire lighter BTW

BUT, I think in these 16 sizes the MT would be better on a wider rim. For a street tire not sure if that makes them better the the M&Hs? This is just what worked for me.
