Been meaning to start a build thread for a while and just been so busy i havent.....so hear goes....
98 z Camaro
lq9 block factory crank scat i beams wiseco pistons and rings balanced bottom end patriot predator heads custom cam from thunder racing factory rockers with trunion upgrades
Some may hate me for this but i am going distributor and carb.
Built th350 trans 3800 stall
Factory rear for now ...running low on money im sure nobody knows what that is like lol
Full tubular BMR front end with manual rack...factory springs and struts for now. Subframe connectors Panhard Bar.
Custom fuel system with fuel cell.
Removed all the basic weight savings hvac door bars rear armrest bars all the basic stuff...but my favorite is the amount of wiring i removed 29.5 pounds. Just gutted the factory harness and i only kept wat i needed or wanted.
6 point cage and factory seats for now.
Tell me what you think....
though it was a cool pic
check out my high lift jack. two 4x4's equals higher car
thought this was funny brought her some with the tires tucking
was not happy at all with my welds on the sfc but they penetrated good just wasnt pretty ..im not good at welding on my back.
all of the interior wiring hard to tell but there isnt much there.
upper radiator mounts i made

...last question....for now lol....
I started cutting out my cowl today, and I was comparing the way I am doing it too yours. My question is...when you welded the new flat panel back in on the firewall, did you weld it above or below the stock seam? I dont have a photo handy because I just got to work, but like about an 1" above the HVAC cut-out all across the firewall there is a body seam. I guess I am asking did you cut above this seam or right on it to weld your new piece in?
If you have a photo of just the opening from when you cut, that would be perfect!

here is the part number
the way i did mine was about 1/2 to 1 inch above the bend behind the cowl the only issue i ran into was when welding neer the factory body seam the sealer was heating up and causing my weld to become contaminated....doesnt hurt anything but does make the weld ugly
