13.4@107?
I ran at the track today. The traction there sucks and it is at an elevation of 4000ft. I ran a best of 13.4@107 with a 2.2 60ft on Nitto Drag Radials. How bad are these times with my following mods? I thought I would have done a lot better. I was expecting better. I was hitting the rev-limiter right at the beams on 3rd Gear.
K&N FIPK, Ported maf, Ported Throttle Body, Hooker LT's, Off-Road Y-Pipe, Loudmouth and ASP UD Pulley.
Thanks

I was hoping on better times. I guess with a better 60' in a different track should run a 13.2. Maybe. I was spinning half-way down the track.

I have a 6-speed. The track I ran at sucks as far as traction is concerned. Even people running with ET Streets-ET Drags were pulling 2.0-2.1 60' times.

Ever, you runnin auto or M6? What car did you have? I was out there late Sunday myself, couldn't launch to save my ***. Ran a best (for me, I suck in the Camaro) of 13.7 at 105mph.

Like I said traction really sucks. No track prep whatsoever. Only some water in the burnout box. The pavement is really fresh. The track has been recently renovated. And Camaro00 SS I was in the '02 Pewter WS6 with TT II's. I was out there until 4:30PM. What time where you out there.

105 mph? That time says stock to me. Unless you are racing on Everest, there is something WRONG with your car. Stock LS1's trap higher than that.
02WS6, your time is 12.7 @ 112.57 corrected.
But you're running out of gear, so you probably wouldn't get 112+.

I ran the car bone-stock at the same track two years ago and I ran a 13.9@102mph with a 2.2 60' on street tires.. That was before they renovated the track and traction was a lot better.

Also I forgot to mention that I had a full tank of gas that day. I usually run less than a quarter at the track. Would that slow me down a tenth or two? And My air filter was super dirty and my spark plugs fouled.

Guess everyone missed where he said 4000 feet elevation... That's definitely not helping
I posted corrected numbers for 02WS6.
Camaro SS never said anything about his elevation, but even elevation wouldn't add 2 seconds onto his 1/4 mile e.t. unless, like I said, he was racing on everest.
WS6, for just headers and a lid your times are very decent. The elevation is costing you 7/10ths! Clean that airfilter and change your plugs then run again.

I would like to thank everyone for helping me out. I already installed the stock maf, changed spark plugs and cleaned the air filter. I am going to run at a different track next week. I'll keep everyone posted. Hopefully I can pull some decent 60' times at the other track.Atleast 1.9-2.0.

BTW - I am in the process of installing some ported heads and a Comp Cam with 224/224 .581/.581 112 lsa. Given the same conditions at the same track with the same 60' as before, How much should I expect my et's to lower and at what mph?
Thanks
Ever
The heads are 241 castings with 2.02/1.60 Ferrea Valves flowing 300 cfm's @.600. They have not been milled for compression.

K, I don't get this...I'm reading some of the other posts in this lobby and people are spittin' out sub-13 sec times with trap speeds in the 1teen's!! WTF?!?!? I gotta throw a up on that one...
I know we got some elevation here in the high desert, and the track is like 1/4 cement and all, but seriously, can our cars be that slow? I know I suck as a driver (werkin on it) ; what else can I do to get better numbers?
