Default Aerospace Front street light weight brakes question

http://www.billingsleyracing.biz/Brakes_GM.htm

So, I'm looking there and ALWAYS thinking of getting a bit more weight off the ride.

Is it just caliper's and rotors?

Because if it is then the install/ swap from stock would be VERY easy.

I was thinking this would be a quick swap.

Can anyone shed a bit of light onto this?

Thanks!

Yes, I know I could have dropped them an e mail, I figuted I'd post it here for everyone else to view.

It's a easy swap. Consists of a new backing plate, a little grinding on the knuckle to clear part of the brake assembly and the rest is pretty straight forward. I have the Aerospace race brakes. I can't complain about them at all.

Strange has a "street friendly" setup?

No, Strange has a heavier duty front setup that includes new spindles and really nice pieces. The rotors are still thick plates with slots in them, still prone to high braking temperature warping issues caused by heavy stop and go street use. The Aerospace street rotors are more standard with venting in them. Should last a little better. Best opinion to get is right from Jay, he knows these systems the best out of everyone. Give him a call.

Yes I do, but I would not recommend using them for large sustained drives or heavy stop and go traffic. But local around town stuff, light traffic, is really easy. They have great stopping characteristics as far as brakes go.

well i just dropped coin on the Aerospace Prostreet front brakes... everybody at Aerospace said that the solid slotted rotors in the Race kit would warp too easy with a 3400 pound car going as fast as the Extreme stock boys are going to be going....

personally too much brake is better than not enough.
