Thumbs up Congrats AP-engineering and Tom Kempf

Hats off to Tom Kempf and AP-engineering for winning the clash of the titans today. This should be considered no small feat since the car was just completed Saturday and they were headed down south untested. 1st pass off the trailer was enough to win it with a 9.29 at 148 and that was backed up later with a 9.20 at 149. All passes were off a foot brake and the entirely new suspension setup was flawless. Not bad for the 1st time out.

Matt

Thanks for all of the kind words guys. It is great when all of our hard work and effort comes together like today. The weather was great and the track was in pretty good shape as well.

Hats off to Major Spray and Cartek's Blue Camaro as well. Both of those cars were laying down some killer times as well.
Tom's combo is a 2000 Z28, 422, th-400, Moser 9", NX Fogger, and the brand new Wolfe Racecraft suspension that worked ike a charm Look for video of the runs to be up as soon as we get back into town..

Thanks for the kind words Matt and everybody else! The track was nice and the weather was great. All I can say about the cars performance is if we needed to step it up more, it was there. I really wanted to shake down the new chassis combo before I lean on it a bit more. Getting this car to the race at the last minute is an understatement! Billingsly cranked me out one of his sway bars in 1 day! Thanks Jay!! and Dan from Wolfe did the same for my T/A! I could not ask for better customer service from those guys. Chris and Nick stayed after hours to finish up the long block for instalation, then I was called out of town at the last minute Wed and decided to throw in the towel for the event since I would be un-available to work on the car. Well, Tuna and Rudy had different thought's, They busted *** all night from Wed until Sat off the clock on their own time until Sat at 11am when Chris put the car on the dyno for a few quick motor pulls before we loaded her up and headed for SC. It was a great team effort and the whole APE crew really stuck it out and got this thing rolling. Thanks again to Chris, Brian, Nick, Tuna and Rudy! One race down and a bunch more to go.

Pics and details on the chassis upgrades and powertrain comming soon!

Thanks!

Tom

Your more than welcome Tom, seeing that thing run like it did this weekend makes all those late nights well worth it.

Here are some pics and a timeslip from the 9.20 pass. Can't wait for San Antonio.
