Default anybody run et drag stiff walls without tubes?

I have a friend that runs et street bias slicks with no tubes. Does anyone run without tubes with the popular et drag stiff walls?

I NEVER ran a tube with them, I ran the 28x10.5S tire for a couple years, never with a tube. Yes, they leaked air, but that was due to the screws in the rims and not the tires themselves.. I know this 100%, because the same set didn't leak until after I screwed them to the rim.

Beadlocks for me now.

But, to answer your question, no you don't have to run a tube. Here's a little trick, that will help stop them from leaking air, if that's your concern. Take a rag, soak it with dawn dish soap (liquid), and coat the entire inside of the tire with it. Do this with both tires, let them sit until it's dry, and repeat a 2nd time. This will stop the tire from leaking any air.. if it's leaking after doing that, it's either the screws, the bead, or the valvestem.

Strait liquid dishsoap, don't cut it with any water too.

Cool, thanks I really appreciate it. I will order them tonight without tubes.

What can you guys suggest about screws? I have never installed them before?

What length? What is the best way to space them?

I bought the rim screw kit and the plate for the 15" rim to evenly space them. Was like $20 shipped to me from Summitt

I'm running 28x10.5S without tubes as well. No problems other than they leak like all of em. For the screws, I went with Moroso. They have a set of screws specifically for rims. There is also a template to make spacing them evenly super easy. I think I have 8 per side right now, but you can go with more if you want. They come in sets of 35.

Tonny I wish that was the case, but at a good bit slower then you are running I was moving them 1/2 way around the rim on my bogarts. And, they weren't mounted using any soap.....

I don't like the screws becuase they leak like crazy.... I fixed that issue by going to a dbl beadlock sanders engineering wheel.

yep... stiffwall hoosiers with no tubes. Don't leak any more than a normal street tire, no dish soap either I must have gotten a rare set. My old ET Streets leaked horribly.
