Default NHRA and doors

Getting ready to shave my door handles. I have heard that this will not pass tech at most or even all tracks. I know there are sealed door cars out there. Don't know the exact rules, but would I pass if I had a window net and then could just leave the windows down. If so, what point cage would I have to have to mount window nets. If not, what are my options here? Sorry for the ignorance of the question, but I don't get to the track much.
