Default Hoosier or MT Drag tyres?? 255/50-16

Hi Guys,

I need to buy some drag tyres.
I want the fastest tyres i can, and do not have to be street legal, so racing only.
I need them in 255/50-16, i have no more room under the arches.
I have two choices available, the MT Drag radials that are street legal, or the Hoosiers with two straight lines in the centre.

Which will give me the fastest times?

Thanks in advance.

i think the hoosier is a little lighter and compared too the old m/t's there a bit more tread, but there pretty equal the m/t's are better driving on the street i DD mine right now and in the rain it's not great but definately driveable. mine are m/t 275/50r15 got them used, the guy i bought them from was going 10.0 on them and there still in great shape.

I've run both tires and the Hoosier will hook better. They have a slightly wider contact patch and are softer, but are not good for street driving because they wear too fast. My best 60-ft with Hoosier is in my sig, and my best with the MT was 1.44.
