Default PP heads & TSP 231/237 track results

This was my first time out with the PP LS6 style heads and TSP cam. The car wouldn't hook hard on the 10.5 ET streets. My other mods are a TCI 3800, 3:73 gears, Pacesetter LT's and LS6 intake. Here is my best time. This was on a 1000' foot track.
R/T-------.527
60'--------1.617
330'-------4.730
1/8 ET-----7.376
1/8 mph----94.49
1000'-------9.603
1000' mph---108.21

The car is full weight right down to the spare and jack. I also have a ASP pulley and a x-pipe true daul exhaust. I think I will pick up some with a dyno tune and a few suspension parts.

Nice. I am really liking the numbers of the 231/237 cam with stock heads, as well as LS6 style heads. I can't wait.

Do you have any video clips of your car?

Another union track I see...I hate when they go home at 3:30 and never return to finish the track.

with a 94mph trap im guessing you would have ended up trapping about 118 or so in the quarter???

i did 93 cam only with a 228/230/112

just figured your setup would be good for more?

He shut off at the best part. The cam makes most of it's power up top and it should have been just gettin good when he got out of it.

The car was spinning pretty bad and it was kinda hesitating between shifts. I'm gonna try some real slicks and try to tune on the shifts a little too. It should pick up a couple of tenths at least.

Good runs with the new setup. You ever come down to prescott raceway (1000ft.)? I usually try to go 3-4 times out of the year up there since the track hooks real good.

Actually, that is where I went yesterday. What car do you have, I may have seen you there before?

multiply your 1/8 by 1.58 and it'll give you a close estimate of your quarter times. works in reverse to for your quarter to 1/8th times if you divide. so you ran about a 11.64 in the quarter. try it with your times it's usually very close of an estimate

You need a higher stall converter and some ET Drags

Are these the only bolt-ons you have?? Loose the spare tire and jack, rear seats, and run with close to 1/4 tank of gas. Have you removed the front sway bar yet? Maybe some skinnies on the front would help too And yes, the suspension could use some work too, if its stock. You'll get there
