Default Help me hook up

My car is a 2001 SS, MTI 2e heads, X1 cam, Yank SS4000. Stock rear w/ 3:23. Only suspension is BMR SFC
dyno 405rwhp/365tq 3552 lbs with my fat *** in it.
I have MT 26X10.5X16 ET streets. I have tried smoking the **** out of them at 15 psi and launching from a 3000rpm foot brake and I cant hook. I guess I could hook if I babied it out of the hole but that aint the object is it?

Is there a tire I can run that is dot approved like the ET street that will hook with my mods? Or should I be hooking with the tire I have?

edit fixed torque conv stall

please tell me that SS2000 is a typo of some sort?? I would step up to a 3.73 gear at least. You could also try Hoosier QTP tires, same as ET streets, i ran them on my car for a while.

Were you at HRP Sunday??

oops ss4000, No I didnt make to HRP on Sunday. So you think the Hoosiers are better? Should I go with a 15" rim instead?

yes, if you have drag wheels, i would recommend those over the stockers...but skinnies up front will help more also. I would try again with the ET Streets before I'd go spending more money on another set of similar tires.
