Default 230/236 107lsa cam results (track and dyno)!!!

Heads are stock 2001 ls1 heads. Car is an 01 SS m6.
Cam: TR230 Intake Lobe/Comp XE 236 Exhaust Lobe 576/574 107lsa (cam doctor) 107icl.

This includes two different days at the track and one different day at the dyno.

Dyno numbers are 392rwhp and 377rwtq through a 4.11 geared, 33 spline, moser 12 bolt and full exhaust.

Day 1 at track: All runs made with 17x9 fronts and 17x11 nitto drs rears and a 3590 raceweight.

Best: 60' 1.96x
1/4 11.98
mph 119.08

Day 2 at track: First ever run with e.t. streets on 16" trans am wheels. No sway bar or strut tower brace for this run. Raceweight is 3545

60' 1.69
1/8 7.44
mph 93.44
1/4 11.62
mph 117.98

I kind of short shifted this run from 1-2 and 3-4 as this was the best launch I'd ever had and didn't want to miss it by banging of the 6700 rpm rev limiter. My tach cannot keep up with this cam. I shifted from 1-2 at about 5900-6100 and 3-4 about the same. This cam likes to be wound higher. I think this is the reason and the only reason for the difference in mph.

Nice times, especially with the stock heads.

With more practice you should run in the mid to low 11's.

I think it peaked around 6200 if I remember correctly. I will have to check with Jeff (GranyShiffting) and my sheets sitting at home though. I normally shift at 6600 (limiter is set at 6700) or so but it is hard to tell because my tach is not very accurate. As I said before though, I did not shift at 6600 when I ran on e.t.s

Me, don't try a cam like this unless you have ls1 edit or can frequently visit somebody who does have it and is good with using it.
