TH350 w/lockup??
Posted this in the auto section but haven't had any input yet... help?
Has anyone swapped in a TH350w/lockup and a lockup converter? A friend of mine has one he will sell me that's been rebuilt already. Just wondering if there is a lot involved with the lockup provisions... haven't found anything by searching. Most are all non-lockup...
Also one more question I haven't seen a clear answer to by searching, is it neccessary to swap auto pedals in or can I modify my M6 pedals?? This will be an absolute budget oriented swap.

Rossler transmissions has a th350 w lock up feature, I would imagine they sell some type of manual switch. Call them.
I switched from an M6 to an auto and I used automatic pedal assembly.

For lockup yes, you need someway of tell the lockup clutch in the TC when to turn off/on. On the cars that came with Lockup, the computers handled it. On standalone systems thats where this comes in.

This will only work if he has a speed sensor to tell the PCM how fast the car is going. Which the TH350 most likely will not have. It looks as though that B&M controller generates a speed sensor signal by connecting where the speedometer cable would normally. That may actually be able to run the speedometer with a little bit of finagling.

This would be happening with an M6 car, the pcm will not be involved (manual valve body) so as little wiring as possible. haha, looks like the manual controller would be the best route. Noobie question here... when would be the ideal time or conditions to turn the lockup 'on'? Cruising? At the track? I don't know much about lockup/non-lockup.

Correct. They use an inline speedsensor with the speedometer cable. The controller is adjustable for the speed you want the converter to lockup. I used this system once and it worked fine. Very easy to install.
