Default Nitto's slipping on stock rims

I have 245 50 16 nitto dr's on stock trans am rims...went to the track the other day with 19-20 psi in them and pulled a 1.73 60ft with a SS3800 yank converter. I marked the tires and after about 6 passes both tires slipped about 3 inchs on the rim. Besides using screws is there any way to keep them from slipping on the rim??? Thanks

if you are turning the tire on the rim witha nitto, your chasis is HOOKIN lol. i have never heard of anyone needing to screw the tire on the rim for a nitto tire before. many many guys have gone 1.60 or better on nittos without that problem.

Ya I have heard of people going high 1.5x's on nittos....but mine are slipping...as a matter of fact one of my buddies 2001 5.3 silverado truck with nittos slipped on his rims as well and he only pulled a 2.22 60ft! some of you guys try marking yours and see if it happens. There must be a way besides screws to stop this.

That's weird, I've run slicks at 15psi and never had that happen. That is not normal.

the only people i know who have problems with this are either heavy vechicles, mainly trucks on slicks, or guys MAJORLY looking loading the entire vehicle weight on the rearend.

go to a tire shop and have them put the that black glue on the wheels for sealing rim leaks - worked for me before with bfgs.

My ET streets have moved almost 180 degrees in 51 passes, most people probably dont notice because they dont check I only cut low 1.6 60's and they move quite a bit. I need to screw them one day..
