need help with drag tire/wheel setup
I don't know much about drag tires... I know M/T and Hoosier and that's pretty much it.
The thing is that I would like to purchase 2 wheels for the rear for drag purposes.
Why ?
Simple... traction.
I'll be putting over 750rwhp and over 900rwtq within the next few weeks.
Having that in mind, what should I look for ?
Will 15" fit on a 2000 SS... or will I have to go with 16"
What size wheels/tires should I look for ?
I know there are 26, 28, etc... how to know which ones will suit my goals ?
I heard that at that power level, I should have tubes and have the tire bolted on the wheel.
What do you guys think ?
What do you recommend and please say why.
What wheels can I find that aren't too expensive ?
I would use those only at the track... ie back seat on the way from home.
P.S.: I also do not want to modify my fenders in any way... I've BFH it already... but no tubing... the 1/4 mile is just for fun. All the rest of the time, the car is setup for cornering.

I no that welds 15 by 10 with 7.5 backspacing fit real nice with a spacer and alittle grinding on the caliper.
If you have the $ bogarts are the way to go with no spacers or grinding
